Dr Clara Rubiano has worked as a senior lecturer in various universities both in the United Kingdom and Colombia, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of education. She holds a PhD in Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Research and a Masters in English Language Teaching.
Her research focuses on political pedagogy and practice, teaching for social justice, teacher education, and international educational policies that influence early childhood and education. She has numerous publications in these areas. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and she is also an Honorary Research Fellow for the School of Education at the University of Roehampton.
