Dr Megan Hayes

Megan Hayes is the author of five books, including the memoir Glimmering: Healing in 21 Wild Swims (Seren, 2026), an extract of which was shortlisted for the Laurie Lee Prize in 2024.  

Her academic research combines positive psychology and expressive writing, as featured in the books The Joy of Writing Things Down (2021) and Write Yourself Happy (2018). At the University of Hull, Megan contributes to ‘The Writer's Portfolio’ and ‘Writing From Life’. View her website.
