Fees and funding information

At the University of Hull Online, we understand your studies are a big investment, in terms of both time and money. That’s why we provide you with flexible payment plans to help you manage your finances.

Course fees (UK/EU/International)

Fees for the May 2020 start dates:

  • £9,400 (MA in Creative Writing, MSc in Engineering Management and MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
  • £10,300 (MSc in Dementia)

Fees for the September 2020 start dates:

  • £9,400 (MSc in Engineering Management)
  • £10,000 (MA Creative Writing and MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
  • £10,300 (MSc in Dementia)

For all courses, you need to pay an acceptance fee of £250 to secure your place. You must pay this within two weeks of the date on your offer letter.

How to pay

You can pay your fees in full before starting your course. Or you can pay in six convenient instalments over the duration of the course.

Funding options

As a University of Hull Online student, you might be eligible for a range of funding and bursaries towards your course fees.

Covid-19 update

At the moment Student Finance England can’t be reached by telephone, text or social media due to COVID-19. Further guidance for prospective students can be found here. You can still apply for student finance but we recommend getting your application in as soon as possible to prevent the chance of any delays.

Postgraduate students living in England can apply for a government-backed, non-means tested Postgraduate Masters Loan of up to £10,906, for courses starting on or after 1 August 2019. 

Postgraduate students living in Wales can apply for Masters Finance and receive up to £17,000 as a combination of grant and loan.

You may also be able to take advantage of the following:

  • Bursary. Cash help of up to £400 when you apply (you must include a statement explaining how a bursary would help you financially).

  • Graduate Studentship. University of Hull alumni are eligible for a £1,000 reduction in fees.

  • Refer-a-Friend. Any student who refers another student to the University of Hull Online is eligible for a £400 reduction in fees. The referred student will also enjoy the same fee reduction. Apply for Refer-A-Friend here.
