My name is doctor Margaret Nicholson. I'm the module leader for the MBA project and consultancy module, which I deliver both on campus and as part of our global MBA.

The MBA project and consultancy module is really where everything students have learned across the MBA comes together. It's very much practice based. The focus is on helping students design and deliver real style consultancy projects that create genuine value for organizations. This module is designed to feel as close as possible to real professional practice.

Our students scope a genuine organisational issue. They work directly with a business, collect and analyse data, and then present practical evidence based recommendations, just as they would in a consultancy setting.

One of the strengths of the MBA is the diversity of our student cohort. Participants come from a wide range of industries, roles, and professional backgrounds, and they bring very different perspectives into the module. That diversity adds real value.

What I enjoy most about the final module is watching the shift in how our students see themselves. Over the course of the module, they begin to move from thinking of themselves primarily as learners to seeing themselves as consultants, change agents, and strategic thinkers. The final module is there to help you bring everything together and take the next step in your career with confidence.
